Bal Shakti —
Every Child
Deserves a Future.

26,000 orphaned children in Andhra Pradesh alone. Millions more across both Telugu states with no stable roof, no school support, and no mentor. Bal Shakti exists so none of them has to face that alone.

Five Pillars

What Bal Shakti
Actually Does.

Five areas of sustained support — from scholarships to long-term mentorship. We do not place a child in a program and walk away.

01
🏆
Scholarships
Financial support for orphaned and at-risk children to remain in school — identifying eligibility, filing applications, and ensuring disbursement reaches the child. No qualified child should lose education to paperwork or poverty.
School Scholarships Application Support Fee Linkages
02
🏠
Shelter Linkages
For children without a safe home — linking to state children's homes, ICPS-registered shelters, and welfare committee placements across TS and AP. We navigate the system so no child is left on the street waiting for paperwork.

Girl Education — Dropout Prevention
Girls from families in crisis are the first to leave school. We intervene directly — scholarships, academic support, and sustained mentorship through Medhaas — to ensure no girl is forced to make that choice. Covering critical years: Class 6 through graduation.

💻
Digital Literacy & Learning Support
Children in shelters and rural schools often have no access to digital tools, online learning or basic computer skills. We run digital literacy sessions, provide learning support and prepare older students for the professional world. Delivered through partner NGOs and state homes, in Telugu and English, tailored to different age groups.

🎯
Medhaas Mentorship Access
Older students (15+) from Bal Shakti are directly enrolled into Medhaas — our professional mentorship initiative — connecting them with industry mentors, career mapping sessions and job readiness coaching. A child who has had to fight for every year of school deserves the best possible path forward. This is it.

Who This Is For

The Children
We Stand With.

Bal Shakti reaches four categories of children — all of them in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, all of them deserving more than they have been given.

🧒
Orphaned Children
Children aged 4–18 in AP and TS shelters, state homes and rescue centres — officially recorded at 26,000+ in AP alone, with the number rising year on year across all 13 districts.
👧
Girl Students at Dropout Risk
Girls whose mothers are divorced, widowed or ill, whose families cannot sustain school fees, and who are one semester away from leaving education permanently. The first casualty of a family in crisis.
👨‍👩‍👦
Children of Single Mothers
Sons and daughters of women enrolled in Nari Udyam — who face educational disruption as a direct consequence of their mother's crisis. We support the whole family, not just one member.
🎖️
Children of Martyred Soldiers
Sons and daughters of soldiers enrolled in Veer Parivar — who receive priority access to Bal Shakti scholarships, academic support and Medhaas mentorship as part of our integrated family welfare approach.
"A child who has survived orphanhood, poverty and interrupted schooling does not need sympathy. They need a school, a scholarship, a mentor, and someone who believes their future is worth fighting for."
